Take green beans up a few notches with this Everything Bagel Green Beans recipe. All the flavors of your favorite bagel but on beans instead.

If you love everything bagels, you'll DIE over these everything bagel-seasoned beans!

Everything bagels are the best kind of bagels. Period. Cinnamon bagels are good and you can’t go wrong with a good ‘ole plain bagel, but everything bagels have that kick that other flavors lack. Aaaand between you and me, I’ve been enjoying an everything bagel once a week for the past month or two. I know I know—WHY—well 1) they’re delicious and 2) my wallet couldn’t handle two acai bowls per week, so now I usually get 1 acai bowl and 1 everything bagel on my breaks from teaching barre class.

If you’re not a fan or haven’t tried an everything bagel, I’m assuming it’s because you don’t like onion. …which I want to say “WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!”, but I get it. I do. Onion is a very strong flavor, so I can see why someone may be put off by it. I, however, am not. I didn’t used to, but I now eat raw onions on my salad and sandwiches, and I la-la-la-love caramelized onions, as you can see here, here and here.

If you love everything bagels, then you'll love these "everything" seasoned beans!

So if I love onions so much, then why aren’t onion bagels my favorite bagels? Because besides onion, the “everything” flavoring is made up of poppy seeds, garlic and sesame seeds. Traditionally, it also contains caraway seeds, but I didn’t have any on hand and couldn’t find any at the grocery store, so I omitted them in this recipe. If you do have them on hand, feel free to add them into the mix. Long story short, the “everything” flavoring is pure perfection and just what you need to jazz up your green beans.

Truthfully, I love green beans on their own with pepper and the occasional dollop of butter, but sometimes vegetables deserve to be the star of the show, if only to get the kiddos to actually eat them.

If you love everything bagels then you NEED these "everything" seasoned green beans in your life!

This recipe is SO easy it’s silly. You make the green beans as you normally would, drizzle them with oil and then sprinkle the everything bagel seasoning overtop. Do NOT forget the oil; otherwise, the seasoning won’t stick. Buuuuut that’s basically it! So the next time you have beans that need to be eaten, give this recipe a try. It’s a winner winner with your chicken dinner! <—worst

Notes

*To be honest, I don't know how many beans I used in this recipe. I'm guessing around 1 lb, but it may have been a bit more of less. As always, adjust the seasoning measurements to your needs.
