Amp up your chocolate milk with this Chocolate Peanut Milk recipe! It’s only 4 ingredients and a delicious dairy free milk alternative.
You knewwww this was coming! Or at least I think you did? I’m all about the follow-up recipes, or rather, pairing two recipes with one another. Just a quick update—if you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat (thealmondeater) then you already know this, but we spent the past few days in the Amalfi Coast, which was pure bliss, and we arrived in Rome last night. So yes, I’m currently in Rome… someone pinch me.
Ok back to this chocolate peanut milk… if you missed my original post on how to make peanut milk, you’ll want to check that out FIRST, because this recipe is just a continuation of that.
So, you have your peanut milk—woohoo!—now let’s take it up a notch. You’ll pour your peanut milk into a blender and add the following:
3 tbsp of cacao powder
3-4 pitted dates*
*I recommend adding 3 dates to start, taking a taste of the milk and if you want it to be a little bit sweeter, add the fourth date
Once everything is blended, you can strain the milk through a fine mesh strainer, allowing it to catch any of the date-bits that didn’t blend up all the way.
THEN… then then then…. THEN you drink and and be happy! Seriously guys, this stuff is so creamy, it absolutely gives regular chocolate milk a run for its money. Also, I’m just going to come out and say that chocolate peanut milk > regular milk.
Alright I’m keeping things short today because ITALY and honeymoon! I’ll be back Friday with another recipe. Until then, be sure to follow along on Instagram and Snapchat!
