These Buffalo Spice Almonds are packed with flavor thanks to chili powder, honey and a bit of hot sauce. They’ll curb your appetite AND have your tastebuds watering!
Yep, another almond recipe. I posted these almonds fairly recently and afterward, decided that I want to try to share almond recipes more frequently. I am The Almond Eater after all, and it’s fun to switch things up from my normal raw almond routine. With that said, these buffalo almonds are anything but ordinary.
They’re spicy, they’re packed with flavor, they’re buffalo-y, which in turn means they combine garlic with chili powder with hot sauce to make one DELICIOUS almond recipe. Also, I recently read that hot sauce helps curb hunger, and so do almonds, so these are the perfect snack for when hunger strikes!
The wonderful thing about making any flavored almonds is that they only take about five minutes to whip up. HOLLA. I’m very irritable when I’m hungry (Miguel might add thirsty and sleepy to that sentence, but that’s a topic for another day), so when I want food I want it NOW. Not in 20 minutes, NOW. Any snack that I can make from start to finish in five minutes is a winner in my book.
Oh and just now as I was typing this, I looked over and saw Layla chewing on something… MY SHOE!!! I screamed, grabbed it from and then whined a bit more. I looked over at Miguel to hope he would say “Laylaaaaaaaaa” the way he usually does, but he just had this stupid grin on his face. Then he said to me, “welcome to your first pet”. Merp. At least they were only flip flops. But like, my good flip flops, not those Old Navy ones. UGH. And yes, I did break out my flip flops yesterday…
Extra hot sauce, anyone?
I’ve noticed that lately my posts consist of chatting about food, and then a Layla update, and then back to food. It’s not entirely intentional, but if I talk about food the entire post well…I can’t. I love food, I ADORE food and I especially adore buffalo spice almonds. But I enjoy talking about real life and what’s going on, even if 99% of the time that life update is actually about Layla 😀 She is my life and these almonds are my love and together they are the loves of my life. Cheesy, don’t care.
The next time you get an almond craving, give these a try. I promise they won’t disappoint!
