These Indoor Pumpkin S’mores are made with a 4-ingredient pumpkin butter and are a great way to celebrate the end of summer and beginning of fall.
Here’s my thought on sharing this pumpkin s’mores recipe towards the beginning of September: the weather is a decent mix of warm days and cooler days (obviously this depends on where you live, but just roll with it…), and warm/cool weather calls for a bonfire and a bonfire calls for s’mores. ....except not everyone has access to a bonfire, so we're doing indoor s'mores today!
It all makes sense, I swear.
But we can’t just do basic s’mores—no, no, no—we gotta do pumpkin s’mores to get ourselves in the fall spirit! Also ‘cause pumpkin butter is my love language.
The funny thing is, I’m leaving to go to Puerto Rico tomorrow, so I highly doubt I’ll be in the fall spirit the next few days, but that’s ok. If you’ve been reading for some time, then you know that I’ve gone to Puerto Rico a handful of times because Miguel goes every September for work. This year I’m only going for four days, but it’ll still be a nice little getaway.
If I’m being honest, my typical “to do list” when I’m there includes sitting by the pool, going in the pool, reading, drinking, eating, repeat (my life is a joke, I know). But, this year I’m planning on putting together a mini San Juan travel guide for you and I’m SO EXCITED ABOUT IT. I figure I’ve been there enough times that I can definitely recommend places off the top of my head, but this time I’m going to try to snap photos of each place for visual purposes. So, stay tuned for that!
So hopefully you’re either A) in the pumpkin spirit for B) almost in the pumpkin spirit. Yes, those are the only two options. If you’re in category B, a good place to start are these indoor pumpkin s’mores. The pumpkin butter is simply canned pumpkin, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a splash of milk—super simple and it pairs perfectly with chocolate, marshmallow and graham crackers.
So go, go, go try it and tell me what you think!
