Ingredients

  • 1 small red cabbage quartered, cored, and shredded
  • 1 red onion finely sliced
  • 1 granny smith apple grated
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 garlic cloves sliced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a slow cooker and mix together so everything is incorporated.
  • Set the slow cooker to high and cook for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is cooked.
  • Turn off the slow cooker and transfer cabbage to a serving bowl. Enjoy!
