Ingredients

Instant Pot

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth

Crockpot

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • salt and pepper to taste

Stovetop

  • 2 chicken breasts

Instructions

Instant Pot

  • Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  • Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of your Instant Pot, then add the chicken on top.
  • Close the lid, ensuring the valve on top is in the “seal” position, then pressure cook the chicken for 10 minutes. Natural release the pressure for 10 minutes before turning the knob to “vent”.
  • Place the chicken on a cutting board and shred with two forks. Enjoy!

Crockpot

  • Season the chicken with salt and pepper and place it into your crockpot.
  • Place a lid on top, then cook the chicken over LOW heat for 2-2 ½ hours (cook time varies depending on thickness of the chicken).
  • Use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the crockpot. Enjoy!

Stovetop

  • Place the chicken in a large pot or saucepan, then fill it with water so the water is covering the chicken by at least one inch.
  • Bring the chicken to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 15-20 minutes (cook time varies depending on the thickness of the chicken).
  • Use a fork to remove the chicken and place it into a large bowl. Use an electric hand mixer to shred the chicken (trust me, it’s a lot easier this way) and enjoy!
