Servings: 6
- 2.5 lb lean ground beef
- 2 cups white rice cooked
- 1 1/2 cups carrots finely diced or shredded
- 1 1/4 cups broccoli chopped small
- 4 3/4 cup spinach chopped
- 1 packet The Farmer's Dog DIY Nutrient Mix
- 1 tbsp sunflower oil
Cook the rice according to the instructions on the package; set aside.
Place a large pot or dutch oven over the stove and heat it over medium-high heat. Add the sunflower oil, making sure the bottom of the pot is coated.
Add the ground beef, using a wooden spoon to break it apart and cook until no longer pink.
Next, add the carrots and broccoli and cook until soft and both can easily be pierced with a fork, about 10 minutes.
Add the spinach and cooked rice and stir until the spinach has wilted. Always use a food thermometer to confirm everything is cooked through and that the temperature is at 165°F.
Last, remove the pot from the heat, then sprinkle The Farmer's Dog DIY Nutrient Mix evenly over the food and stir to distribute until you can no longer see the mix.
