Creamy Chicken Sausage Orzo is made in one pan and is a flavor-forward dinner recipe. Featuring chicken sausage, orzo, veggies, and pesto, it'll quickly become a staple in your dinner rotation!
Heat the olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken sausage and cook until slightly browned, about 4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon.
To the same pan, add the onion and sauté for 2 minutes, then add the garlic, zucchini, tomatoes, salt, and italian seasoning and sauté for 2-3 more minutes.
Add the chicken sausage back in, along with the orzo and pesto. Pour in the chicken broth and cream and stir everything together.
Bring mixture to a boil, then cover the pan and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the orzo is cooked and the broth is absorbed.
Sprinkle parmesan and lemon juice over top, then add fresh basil for garnish. Enjoy!
