This Whole30 Apple Parfait is made with apples, nuts, dates, cinnamon, and a drizzle of almond butter. It’s sweet, yet not too sweet and pretty healthy, too!
Uhhhh so yeah obviously I meant to share this weeks ago, but I [clearly] don’t have my ish together, so I’m sharing it now. It’s a healthy yet still tasty dessert that’s Whole30-compliant. ….because even though the whole point of the diet is to restrict sugar cravings, you still need something sweet a few of the days on the program. Or at least I did. Also, I promise to have two decadent desserts coming your way next week. <—I need to tell you that because I feel like it’s been a minute since I’ve shared something decadent, and you know I’m all about balance.
Now that it’s September I’d like to declare it apple season. I’m not sure if it technically is, but I feel like September is that weird month where you still kind of want to eat summer fruit, but you’re also weirdly excited for fall fruit aka apples and all things apple cinnamon.
Ok so this parfait is really just a combination of whole30-compliant foods, like apples, dates, nuts, and almond butter. If your’e on the whole30 program, be sure to purchase compliant nut butter or better yet, make your own. If you’re not on the program, this dessert is still awesome and would probably go perfectly with a bowl of vanilla ice cream, just saying.
You’ll start by heating some coconut oil in a skillet and adding in the apples, sprinkling them with cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg and then cooking them until they’re soft. Then, you’ll combine them with nuts, chopped dates and nut butter (optional, though you really can’t go wrong by adding it).

Whole30 Apple ParfaitPrint Rate
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 4-5 apples chopped
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 cup walnuts
- 1/4 cup pecans
- 1/4 cup almonds
- 4 dates chopped
- Optional: 1-2 tbsp nut butter
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chopped apples and stir for a minute or two, then add the cinnamon and nutmeg. Cook apples over medium heat, stirring occasionally until apples are soft.
- Transfer cooked apples to a bowl and add the nuts and dates; stir everything together and distribute into glass jars.
- Drizzle with nut butter and enjoy!
