Sunday Funday has come to an end, how was your weekend? Let me tell you a little about mine.
Friday I came home from work and made myself zucchini pizza and “fried” zucchini. I had some zucchini that I wanted to use up but I didn’t feel like grilling them like I usually do–I wanted something fancier.
Needless to say, they were pretty tasty. The “fried” ones are covered with italian bread crumbs.
Continuing with the weekend, Saturday night Miguel and I went to go see “Prisoners”..have you guys seen previews for it? It’s a thriller/action movie that stars Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal. Here’s a brief synopsis and my take on it. Basically, a little girl is abducted and her father (Jackman) will stop at nothing to find his daughter. Jackman has help from an investigator/police officer (Gyllenhaal) and together (but separately) they are both considering different suspects for who could be responsible for the abduction. It’s extremely suspenseful and I was even scared during certain scenes, wondering to myself “is this supposed to be a scary movie?” The movie kept me on my toes the entire time, the acting was wonderful, and I didn’t hate the ending. If you like thrillers, I would highly recommend this movie. If blood makes you nauseous, I would still recommend this movie, but you might want to cover your eyes for parts of it.
Finally, earlier today Miguel and I decided to check out the Pittsburgh Winery, and I must say we were both very impressed with it! Not that I didn’t think it would be nice, but the venue was very unique. (Don’t mind the horrible photo quality–it was very dark).
There was a sum total of four people at this place. I’m assuming it’s a bit more bumpin’ on a Saturday night.
And that about wraps my weekend up!
Q: What did you do this weekend? Do you like thriller movies, or do you prefer comedies?
