Why eat avocado toast when you could eat Sriracha Avocado Toast? This toast is topped with avocado, goat cheese, sriracha flavored almonds, and a squeeze of lime juice for a fast and flavorful breakfast!
Toast. Avocado. Goat cheese. Sriracha flavored almonds. THAT’S what we’re talking about today. I hope you like all of those things as much as I do.
OH TOAST, why are you so good? So simple, yet so delicious. Why is toast so much better than eating a slice of bread? WHY? It just is. There are approximately 132 toast toppings, many of which I’m a fan of. I’ve gone through a peanut butter and honey toast phase, an almond butter and jelly toast phase and I’m currently going through (and have been for the past year) an avocado toast phase. …and apparently so is everyone else.
Ya see avocados, well, they’re kind of trendy these days. One time I Instagrammed a photo of my avocado toast and it got over 100 likes. The next day I Instagrammed a photo of Layla and it got 40 likes. I don’t know when avocado toast became cooler than dogs, but OKKKK. I suppose I can get on board with it. …don’t tell Lay I said that.
The only issue I have with avocados is that they can be a bit pricey. No seriously, Whole Foods was selling avocados for $2 each, and you know you can’t just buy one. Ten dollars later and you’ve got 5 avocados which maybe seems like a good deal but not to me. I’ve read from multiple sources that buying organic avocados isn’t essential, so skip organic and save yourself the extra $$$.
No what I’m sayin’?
Ok so you’ve got your bread and you’ve got your avocado, and now you have to buy your CHEESE. Can we all agree that, along with avocados, cheese just makes everything better. Sandwiches, salads, soups, pasta dishes, and even toast. Cheese trumps all. I try to not to discriminate with my cheeses (though I seriously cannot get on board with blue cheese…. I’m sorry), but I do play favorites. [At this moment I was going to name my top 3 cheese but I can’t decide] —all I know is that goat cheese is absolutely one of my favorites. BAR NONE. <<wtf I’ve never said that.
OH! Last but certainly not least are the almonds. OOOOHHHH almonds. Though I love avocado (duh) and I love goat cheese (duh), it’s the almonds that really add flavor to this toast. Why? Because they’re not just regular almonds, they’re Sriracha Blue Diamond Almonds, and yes, they are just as good as they sound. Slightly spicy and crunchy of course, they complete the toast.
Sprinkle a bit of lime juice and you’ve got yourself the best damn toast there ever was. Bold statement, I know.
One last tip from me to you: buy bread that actually fits in the toaster. I had to toast each piece twice because it wouldn’t fit horizontally in the toaster…. fail whale.

Sriracha Avocado Toast
- Prep Time: 5 mins
- Total Time: 5 mins
- Yield: 4 1x
- 4 pieces bread
- 2 avocados
- 4 tbsp goat cheese crumbles
- 2 tbsp Sriracha Blue Diamond Almonds
- Optional: Juice from 1 lime
- Toast each piece of bread; spread avocado evenly on each piece.
- Place almonds in a food processor or blender and pulse for 1 second–just enough to crumble them up–and then place on toast.
- Add goat cheese and lime juice.
