This Mojito Water comes in three varieties—traditional, strawberry and orange—and will leave you feeling refreshed instead of hungover!
Mojito water!!! Mojito…..water? Uhhhhh what? You mean flavored water doesn’t sound exciting to you?! Well I’m about to change your mind, because MOJITO WATER is exciting!
I’ll admit, I’m a water person through and through. I know plenty of people who prefer sparkling water or coconut water or some sort of flavored water when they’re feeling thirsty; but 9 times out of 10 I prefer regular old water. So boring. BUT, occasionally I need something flavorful, especially on a warm summer day. So, mojito water it is.
Mojito water is exactly what it sounds like: water with mint and lime, and maybe another fruit such as strawberries or orange if you’re feeling wild. I remember the first time I tried an actual mojito… I was in college at a bar with Miguel. I had never had a mojito but it sounded refreshing and Miguel convinced me I’d like it. To this day, I whole-heartedly believe that you simply can’t go wrong with a mojito as your cocktail of choice. Yes, they can sometimes be a bit too minty (you know, like when you have a hard time actually drinking it because mint leaves keep getting stuck on the straw……), but most times they are perfect.
Mojito water is the same kind of perfection! Only you won’t be hungover after you drink it. Woohoo!
I’ll admit this water is more of a “you decide” kind of recipe rather than something super specific depending on how flavorful or how diluted you want the water to be. Here are my personal recommendations—feel free to adjust based on your personal preference:
Traditional water: 8 mint leaves, 1 lime
Strawberry: 4 mint leaves, 1 lime, 4-5 strawberries
Orange: 4 mint leaves, 1 lime, 1 orange

- 8 mint leaves
- 1 lime, sliced
- 5 strawberries, sliced
- 1 orange, sliced
- Add mint and lime to a pitcher, and if you’re creating the strawberry or orange variety, add the sliced strawberries or orange slices.
- Fill pitcher with water and place it in the refrigerator.
- You can drink the water immediately, though the longer you wait, the more the water will soak up the fruit flavor.
