Happy day after Labor Day! I hope everyone had a great weekend (I know I did–three day weekends are B-E-A-Utiful). Saturday Miguel and I drove up to Tanger Outlets, a shopping mall that’s about 30 minutes from where we live. Outlet malls always have great steals and deals, and the steals were especially good thanks to all of the Labor Day sales going on. My two favorite items from my trip were new tennis shoes and a statement necklace. I decided to purchase the Nike Lunarlon because they are lightweight but still have a durable heel to provide support. Basically, I tried them on, walked around the store, and fell in love.
I always knew that I had small feet but had no idea that I wore a 4.5 in a kids shoe! This was great news because kids shoes are always less expensive 🙂 So therefore, I felt like a winner.
This necklace is from J.Crew, which I’d never shopped at before but always wanted to because it describes my style perfectly. Everything in the store was 50% off, so I just HAD to get this necklace, obvi 😉
Sunday was spent at home cleaning and doing chores. But, in between I managed to throw together some “goods” to make this tasty lunch for Miguel and myself.
It consisted of corn, squash, zucchini, red peppers, bacon, and shrimp. The bacon really added flavor to it, but I sprinkled everything with pepper and a dash of garlic as well for added flavor.
That’ll do, Erin, that’ll do. I wanted to use up the vegetables we had and it’s what I came up with. Miguel thought it was tasty, so I felt accomplished.
Labor Day itself was spent with my family. Most of them live about 20 minutes from me, so we went to my aunts house and, luckily, the rain held out long enough for us to be able to enjoy an afternoon of sunshine and swimming.
This is my half sister and I (some call her my twin). She is four years old and completely adorable. Also, my eyes are STILL giving me trouble….no more pink eye but I still can’t wear my glasses.

I hope everyone’s weekend was just as wonderful as mine.
