This Gingerbread Milk Punch is made with coconut milk, cinnamon, ginger, and molasses and is delicious both with and without alcohol. Try it yourself!
What the eff is gingerbread milk punch?! <—that’s what you’re thinking, right?
K well ya see, I don’t love eggnog, so this is my alternative. Nope, it’s hardly anything like eggnog, but just go with it. It’s basically gingerbread flavored milk, with or without alcohol (whichever you prefer), and it’s DELICIOUS.
Also, can I be honest? I don’t really know if I dislike eggnog, but the thought just freaks me out. In fact, considering the fact that I’m the opposite of a picky eater, I bet I would like, but I’ve always told myself that I don’t, so to this day I declare that I dislike eggnog. If you love it, please convince me to try it because I just can’t. The good news is, regardless of whether you love or hate eggnog, you’ll absolutely love this drink because it’s made from milk and sugar and cinnamon and molasses and ginger! The best flavors!
I know I said prefer chocolate peppermint to gingerbread—and I do—but I’ve had chocolate peppermint milk before. I’d never had gingerbread milk before, and now I think it has to be a ‘thing’. Oh! And if you need a little booze in your drink (no judgment whatsoever, especially this time of year), add some tequila! Yes, tequila. Don’t knock it ’til ya try it.
I for one absolutely needed a drink today.. story time! For the past few days Layla had been drooling out of the one side of her mouth, which I thought was strange, so I took her to the vet on Tuesday. Turns out she cracked her back molar in half, so she’s been at the vet all day today getting it removed. Poor baby, I felt so bad. We were supposed to leave for DC, but obviously that got pushed back until tonight or tomorrow morning. I’m just hoping this is the only time that happens because dog procedures are not cheap! Nope. Also because I love her and hate seeing her in pain. So yeah, bring on the alcohol.
Tip: I made this drink twice, once using canned coconut milk and once using coconut milk from a carton, and found that the milk from a carton blended better than the canned kind. You can still use canned milk, you’ll just have to strain your drink once or twice before drinking it.
If you’re looking for a drink that’s delicious both with and without alcohol, this gingerbread milk punch is IT! Happy holidays, everyone!!Print
