Yes, I did just return from my trip to California and yes, it was wonderful. I went with my friend Candice and we stayed with her cousins in Mission Viejo, which is a great city by the way. While visiting, we made it a priority to visit San Diego, which was just as beautiful as people had told me it would be. We arrived by train and were greeted by a friendly man who showed us around. We explored Seaport Village, then took a water taxi over to the island of Coronado, which has tons of cute shops and restaurants. This is Candice driving the taxi for .2 seconds until the driver took the wheel away:
After spending the day eating and shopping, we decided to hit the bars in the Gaslamp Quarter. There were so many it was hard to choose where to go, but we settled on a place called the Tipsy Crow and a jazz bar called Croce’s (sometimes, we pretend to be classy).
Besides San Diego, we spent much of our time at Laguna Beach. Whether it was buying clothes, eating caramel apples or having romantic dinner dates on the beach, we both really enjoyed this particular beach.
As it turns out, it’s not as difficult to find a spot overlooking the beach as we thought it would be. Hooray! On our last day, we visited Los Angeles, specifically Rodeo Drive, where we could only afford to window shop. So many expensive, classy stores and brand names that I had never even heard of before.
I now understand why people pay big bucks to live in California. The weather is beautiful year-round, the people are extremely friendly, and there’s so much to do! Though I only got to discover the joys of SoCal (I’m SUCH a California Girl), I am already looking forward to when I return to discover the many other attractions California has to offer.
