This Chocolate Covered Pretzel Smoothie is the perfect combination of salty and sweet. Only five ingredients and healthy, too!
Chocolate. Covered. Pretzel. Smoothie.
Yeah, we’re going there.
But I can’t NOT say something about Monday’s book release. Actually, all I want to say is you guys are awesome and thank you SO much for your kind words and support—they mean the world to me.
Now where were we? Oh yeah, chocolate covered pretzels. They are my favorite. I know I say that about virtually every kind of food, but they actually ARE my favorite. I like them better than chocolate by itself, I like them better than all the almond butters combined, I like them better than chocolate and peanut butter (gasp!) and I like them better than almonds. The ONLY thing I might like better than chocolate covered pretzels is coffee, but that’s because I need it to function.
Since my obsession is serious, I figure why not try to combine the two into a smoothie?
Know what else I put into this smoothie? Nektar Naturals honey crystals. Essentially it’s honey minus the sticky mess, which is kind of awesome in my opinion. It comes in an easy-to-pour bottle and goes well with pretty much anything you’d put honey on. As for this recipe, I used the honey crystals to add some sweetness to the smoothie. They help to create that perfect combination of salty and sweet that I’m constantly striving to achieve.
Speaking of chocolate covered pretzels, do you have any Valentine’s Day plans? To be honest, I put so much pressure on my birthday and Christmas (I mean pressure for Miguel of course) that I don’t really stress out about V-day. Still, we usually try to go to dinner a few days beforehand to beat the craziness of the actual day, and I always secretly hope for flowers (what? I can’t help it). If you’re looking for a low-key yet still adorable Valentine’s day gift, think about sending a honey-gram! You can find out more info here, but it’s FREE and kind of adorable.
The only thing better than a honey-gram is a honey-gram WITH this smoothie. Your boyfriend/girlfriend/lover/secret crush will thank you.
Oh and see the chocolate covered pretzel IN the smoothie? You can get those here.
