Hi guys! Just a little side note but I really liked having YOU guys vote to see which recipe you’d like to see first—for anyone who made the Cinnamon Roll Protein Smoothie, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. For those of you who asked, I used Skoop protein powder in that smoothie thanks to the folks at Skoop, who were kind enough to send me a sample of their product. I figured what better way to try it out than in a smoothie?! First of all let me say that I rarely use protein powder in recipes because of the chalk-y taste, but Skoop doesn’t have that! Skoop is a non-GMO plant-based protein powder that comes in a variety of flavors. It’s gluten free, soy free, dairy free and REALLY good. That says a lot coming from someone who isn’t a huge protein powder user. Obviously you can use whichever protein you’d like, but I highly recommend Skoop.
Phew. I’m linking up with Jenn today for WIAW to show you a full day of eats (yesterday’s eats to be exact).
6:30 am: Drag myself out of bed and immediately make myself some coffee.
I worked from home yesterday so around 8 am I made myself some scrambled eggs with spinach on toast. Around 10 am I decided to whip up some meatballs (recipe coming soon), threw them into the crock pot and headed to Starbucks to get some work done.
I ordered a Very Berry Hibiscus..
Then, I came home, took my meatballs out, photographed them and set them aside. I ended up drinking a green juice and eating kale+chicken sausage for lunch (recycled kale photo):
I swear there’s chicken sausage under that kale.
Normally I don’t drink so many different kinds of drinks but for some reason I wasn’t feeling water yesterday (clearly). Coffee, tea AND juice…. yeah, excessive.
THEN (the real highlight) was going to Burgatory with Cassie and Angela for dinner. My original plan was to eat the meatballs I had made earlier for dinner buuuut my plans changed and I was not mad about that. I ordered the veggie burger and it was gooooood.
Pittsburghers–if you haven’t been to Burgatory yet, go! I know I’m probably the oddball who had never had it before but now I know why everyone is so obsessed.
That was my full day! Nothing overly exciting. I just remembered I also had a Larabar as an afternoon snack as well (obviously, I didn’t photograph it). Have a great day! Xoxo
Q: How many different kinds of liquids do you drink most days? >>Most days, I drink coffee and water and that’s it, but lately I’ve also been enjoying a smoothie or juice too.
